Who am I and why did I start Fit & Free?

That’s an easy question to answer.

The fact is I love being fit and healthy but I haven't always been this way.

I went through my own incredible transformation some years back and completely changed my life through exercise and healthy eating. I want to encourage others to do the same and help them on their own way to health and fitness. Life is so much more enjoyable if we are healthy and full of energy. It really is possible to change from wherever you are at the moment and my own life is proof of that.  

It's not an easy journey by any means but the benefits will be worth every drop of sweat I promise. I have written a book called “Fit and Free for Life” about the process if you are interested to find out more about my own transformation journey. There is a lot of information in there about nutrition and gym training too.

I am a fully qualified personal trainer working in and around the Bexhill area and as you can see from the photos, I am in my fifties, so I understand how it is to workout when we are a little bit older. I train five times a week these days and incorporate a lot of different modalities like martial arts, cycling and weight lifting. I have a holistic approach to my own wellbeing and encourage my clients to focus on their lives outside of the gym as well, looking at stress levels, nutrition and sleep patterns. 

I realise that not everyone is comfortable in the gym environment so I have developed workout programs that we can do in your own home. I like to make my workouts interesting and challenging to keep you motivated while getting fit and strong, so I include boxing with pads which is really great cardio.
